    I am inclined to think that the etymology of Lutz is the Latin "lucis" = of light, it's probably more of a germanicized version of the Polish Lodz. Nonetheless, I'll go with the lucis interpretation, "bringer of light" - Tobias Lightbringer - our own community Lucifer.
