Burnin some nice tobacco in my Missouri Meer General. Newminster 400 Superior Navy Flake. A real sleeper - can't believe it's so cheap, this stuff's good!
A slight downside is that I'm still breaking in the general so there's some sour corn smell added to the navy flake.
You oughta know not to stand by the window, somebody see you up there.

Hi Bruce,
Did you smell a chocolate top note on the Newminster 400? It is a well made tobacco. Similar to Stokkebye Luxury Navy but the cut's more like Gawith & Hoggarth.

Sour corn smell? You chillin' or distillin'?

Yes, I guess you could call it chocolate, kind of like hot cocoa. I have some of the Stokkeybe's navy flake, which is also quite nice, but between the two I'd take the newminster.
Yes, the cob is from one of those 10-packs of seconds from Missouri Meerschaum. It had a strong sour smell, almost like turpentine when it was new, but it's mostly gone now.
