Makes about as much sense as a book on how to read

I red that book and I looked at the pictures. Now I can truthfully tell people that I'm well red.

I'll put the whole thing in Smoker Terms (ST):

1. You're betting on a Smoking Contest (who can smoke the longest and be the last to finish).
2. If you bet on the last smoker to finish you win ALL of the bets that will be sent to you by each individual bettor.
3. If you bet on the last 2 smokers to finish (in any order) you win an EXTRA prize, (exacta).
4. If you bet on the last 3 smokers to finish (in any order) you win an EXTRA prize. (trifecta).

Now, replace smoker(s) with horse(s) and there you have it.

If the Trifecta is won then @Tobias Lutz will provide a prize that I expect, given his generosity, will be a 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser or something like that.
I will provide a prize if the Exacta (quinella) is won that will be a bag of collected dottle from the last 8 years. Aged tobacco in there people!

Rule:
In the event of a scratch the player's next horse moves up and can win only if they don't tie with another player.
