@BryGuySC Bryan, I'm glad that you know about the sale, I was going to PM you. Stokkebye bulks, like the flakes, are all $7.00 for 4oz and then reduced 20% so that they're $5.60 / 4 oz! I have so much that I only added 12 oz.

I need more tobacco like I need a hole in the head so I drilled a hole and made an order anyway!

I'm not big enough into pipes to know if it's a good deal either. I have seen some pretty epic "goodie" bags come out of P&C. And no there isn't a discount for cigarbum that I'm aware of.

I find that Target has a big selection and low prices on mason jars. I ordered 3 dozen Kerr quart jars last year for $33.00/shipped (one broke in transit). I was just on the site; Ball and Kerr jars, 1-pint, $7.82-$8.59. Kerr 1-qt @$10.99/dozen. Order $25 in merchandise (most anything) and shipping is free.

I'm so proud of myself.

Every time I order tobacco I tell myself I'm gonna order just what I love, but I ALWAYS end up experimenting and ordering something new to try.

Not yesterday! Yesterday I ordered 3 tins of 2015 Christmas Cheer, 3 tins of Rattrays Hal O the Wynd, and a half-kilo of Homborger Veermaster.

If I was smarter, I'd only buy HV and HOW from now on...

Admirable restraint and you chose wisely (the Old Knight from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). The 20% off made the McClelland and Rattray tins a very palatable price. I ordered a few of them myself and was going to load up on Stokkebye but I already have a lot so I trimmed to 12 oz. I didn't have as much restraint so I ordered several F&T tins that have been out of stock everywhere and were, with this sale, ~$8.20.

Is that a good deal? I'm still really new to pipes.

Others may have a better handle on whether this is a good deal or not but if you're starting all you need is a pipe (cobs are fine), a tobacco (5 is lot to start with as in this deal), pipe cleaners and an inexpensive pipe tool, that you can get for $25. Depends how deep in the pool you want to start.
