I think the giveaways are great for new people just starting out and people like me who are always interested in trying something new but I can see what you mean. I think I got one last year and most of the stuff that came is still stuffed in some random box in the basement and I couldn't begin to guess where so I guess I see your point.

I'm not buying anything this year, we're trying to easy up on the spending (or so I'm told) but I was looking at a few pipes they have and if I had it to spend I'd definitely be scooping up. As for tobacco, about the only thing I've been wanting to pick up is some tins of FVF to cellar and they always seem to be out so guess I'll pass on the deals this year.

Hahaha! Yep, that's exactly where the stuff would end up if they gave it to me; something to trip over and clean around that would never get used and should just get thrown away... but wouldn't because hey it's brand new! Better to give it away to some n00b or somebody who will smoke just about anything and like it. I gotta go look at those pipes again and see how much 15% knocks off. Can't remember what they cost even. I think both together would be around 200 so that's 30 bucks... not sure I care tho, I have enough pipes too.
