    Crisp burn and gnarly veins:

    Last 1/3 - 14:20 hrs

    Still burning razor sharp, solid ash, great construction and making plenty of smoke. Problem with the smoke is this - it doesn't float my boat. The flavor just never quite arrives. It's an ok cigar but not my profile. While better at the very end it still lacks those things I like: floral, chocolate, coffee and/or spice. I''d prefer a maduro Oliva bundled toro or any of a dozen cheap habanos. The last good non-habano I smoked, incidentally, was a blind taste test knockout, an Oliva V Lancero*, 2013.

    Middleweight, soft jaw. I cannot recommend the HdM 150 Anni. which I am currently nubbing. Not bad at the last 2" if your have tough fingertips.

    * for your reference

    6 7/8 x 38-40. Razor sharp burn, no touch ups, nice ash. First snork was quite a strong surprise up my nose after a two day layoff. It started out as tobacco, smart and leathery, but before halfway went to a very mellow, woody sweetness. The last third is pungent, sweet cocoa and spicey without any sharp or sour notes. This is yet another very good cigar. I will think on it before making a fool of myself - as yet I can't say what is is but I can say it is very good. This is the best panatela I ever smoked in every respect.
