I did an OTC/pouch tobacco review/trade a long time ago and on another forum. Velvet was one of the few that didn't make the cut for whatever reason. Some day I will pick up a bit, if it is still around, that is.
Still disappointed that I just can't "get" Granger. For some reason, the stuff just speaks to me - probably the old school packaging or something. But that dryer-sheet note that pervades the stuff just doesn't work for me at all. You would think that a fan of Lakeland blends would find something to like about it, but it just isn't in the cards.

What what? I'll need to look into this, I wouldn't mind having a cheapy to puff on other than Carter Hall.

I like SWR better - by a long shot. I do wish that I could still find Granger in the pouch though, as I was pretty much a pipe noob when I tried it. Palates change. Granger is readily available still - my B&M has the big cans of it. I've looked around other sites and not found it in pouches.

The whole dryer sheet thing caught my interest but I see that STC is now producing it and the topnote is gone. That's a shame.

It was very unique, I will say that. If they aren't topping it anymore I would be very interested in giving it a shot just 'cause. Might have a look. I don't often smoke burleys, but I like them when I'm in the mood. I absolutely love ABF and have a good supply of Wessex Burley Slice and Stoney.
Believe it or not, I actually prefer ABF to Stoney.
