Just wonder how many cut their teeth on these fine things? I know when I was a teen I thought they were just great. Haven't had one in 35 years maybe time to revisit now that I'm a Bum. Enjoy

First box of "cigars" I ever bought was a box of Swishers in I want to say 1984 or 1985.
First cigars I ever tried were White Owls I 'borrowed' from my grandfather.
Never tried one, and I don't know if I want too.
First "cigar" I ever tried was a Black and Mild.
I don't see myself revisiting it...............ever.
Swishers with wood tips are gateway cigars :D
I had a few back in college...filled with a different filler tho. :abnormal:
I actually used to like the flavor of just sucking on them while driving. I didn't even light them. I just bought the plastic tips and kept them in my glovebox to sort of puff on while on longer drives.
I didn't try Swishers untill I got out of the Army in 1985,I was another one who started with White Owls and A&C.
Didn't ever do the originals but I do keep a pack of the Outlaws (their version of backwoods) in the car for drives and yard gars or work
Did do Black & Mild and agree that I couldn't ever do one of those again
Funny, my first, and so far only box was swisher sweets. Senior year of high school. I thought that was the cats ass then.
My best friend and I enjoyed that whole box back then and now I've gotten him into real cigars with me.
I hate to even admit this here but a couple weeks ago it was so cold we didn't want to be outside even long enough for a short stick, we bought a couple wood tip black and milds to revisit the good old days... And both almost threw up :)
No substitute for the real thing.
My first "cigar" was the back woods that came in a pouch
My grandma used to smoke them and I swiped one out of her glove compartment when I was 13. Even then I thought it was disgusting.
I have honestly never smoked one of those (swisher, black and mild, etc) Most of them really have a pleasant aroma. They really taste that bad? They smell like they would almost be infused.
Swisher Sweet, wooden tip, was my first cigar around 1966. I have smoked a few within the last 15 years or so while fishing around dusk/dark. Not awful but not a 1998 Bolivar Belicosos Finos, either. Swisher International, by the way, operates the largest cigar production facility in the world (Jacksonville, FL or south Georgia - can't recall which). Been there; magnificent factory.
About a month ago I saw the old HS football coach sitting in his car at Walmart. I went over to say hi and he was smoking a cigar. I commented on his cigar and he reached in his glove box and insisted I take one. It was a Swisher. I threw it in my glove box and forgot about it until about a week ago and decided to fire it up. Smoked about half of it and threw it out the window. It didn't really fit my flavor profile.
I am tired of being freshly homeless!
I used to smoke Backwoods (my favorite)
Tried the black n milds (least favorite)
My favorite swisher was the Chocolate ones........those were pretty good.
I have a neighbor that likes the little grape ones try's to pass them off all the time. Smell like Kool Aid tastes like crap or so I hear. Lol. I give him a good cigar on occasion but he goes right back to the baby grapes. Get r done dude looks more like Larry the Cable Guy than he does.
I remember my first cigar was a hand rolled, but I did try these next and hated them, tried black and mild and didn't care for them much, tried backwoods and kind of liked them, smoked backgammons, then romeo and julietas, then finally onto the good stuff.
