I use imgur.com. A lot of other ppl use photobucket. Either way, upload your pix there then copy/paste the location here - they come out full size that way.

Really? If you have some time and interest, you should.

Plus you have a bunch of us with varying levels of experience to lean on here.
In ham radio, the older, experienced guy who helps the new guy get started is called an "Elmer." What would the cigar rolling equivalent be?
Howdy fellas...just got wind of the discussion.
Still rolling everyday and it's great fun. So many variations and blends to play with. Anyone who thinks they might like it should at least try a sample pack.
In a short time you can be rolling out some great cigars. Don't believe that it takes years of practice... it doesn't.
To see if you can roll a cigar try this simple test using only paper towels. If you can do this you can do a cigar.
Test your skills...

Being from Lake Mary Florida I aptly named my cigar the "Lago Maria"

I was wondering when you were going to make an appearance :D
A few test rolls following the supposed Caldwell Eastern Standard blend but with different primings.

..um
How about, ... we come up with some realistic things to expect as a beginner thinking about rolling. Like, time, money or methods?
I like the rolling test video thing. I had to try it. though, I added news paper as filler instead. It feels more like tobacco to me.
Another thing when I started; I really wanted to wrap some cigars so, I got a cheap bundle and some fronto leaf to wrap them with. Also, I would removed wrappers then reapplied them. I brought it as far as to deconstructing, then reconstructing them by dampening the cigar so it could taken apart without tearing the leaves.
Definitely a helpful video. I don't remove the mid ribs though. I heard the guy from JDN mention in one of their Cigar Safari videos that they're supposed to help give the cigar structure and better combustion.
Freshly in, and still home rolling, making a new batch this weekend
Rolled a few more Eastern Standard "clones" earlier. Should be ready to wrap later tonight.
Looks like "the gang" is all beginning to roll on in here!
Y'all gonna make me pull out the leaf and get back to rolling soon!
Fair enough I guess your off the hook then
Here are my latest, 5th batch to be precise.

For only your 5th batch it looks like you've got the process down!
Batch 4 looked much better, Ecuadorian CT Shade Grown wrappers almost put themselves on!
I forget how much easier some wrappers are to work with. I pretty much wrap everything with broadleaf which has the reputation of sort being a PITA.
Hey Bruck, been using the triple cap since the start, as I have a friend who milled me some very nice molds, I haven't had one smoke bad yet or fall apart. I use xanthan gum fairly liberally when capping. not always pretty but effective. I know you tend to not cap yours, but I can usually get one on even on paper rolled cigars (the top one in the image is paper rolled).
Here are my batch 4, with the Ecuadorian Shade Grown CT wrappers. Attachment 1429
Good molds help a lot, along with a cooperative wrapper, these are the molds I use:

GDaddy do you still have a guy that makes yours? I started rolling because of your videos, and Bruck's Brohibas :)
The mold I have isn't as nice as some of the ones Ive seen you guys with. But since I don't have a vice or press the wing nut design does the trick pretty well. So far no complaints with it. My biggest issue is that I need to make a smaller cap cutter. The one I have now the caps are too big and look like sh!t. Its kind of subtle but the right sized cap goes a long way in the overall aesthetics IMO.
I roll mostly 52 rg and use a 3/4" copper elbow from Home Depot. They have 1/2" also. Works great.
