I just spent the past 3 hours stacking cigars in different humidors with and without trays and there is no pattern, no formula. It all depends on where the trays are mounted in the humidor. Some are mounted 3" deep in the humidor, and with certain ring gage cigars, you can get three rows of cigars beneath the tray, others are mounted 2.75" deep in the humidor and then most ring gages can only get 2 rows beneath them. So a tray could displace 10 cigars, or, if it is mounted a half an inch lower, it could displace 25 cigars.

I failed!
Yea I think when accounting for tray's it would be a much rougher output, essentially how much volume is reduced by the material of the tray, and the impact that has on storage capacity. Like you said, where a tray or divider is mounted is going to play a role in how many cigars you'll ultimately be able to fit in your humidor. Thanks for the research and work to improve the already useful calculator!
