Buy a zippo and swap out the insert. I have a dual flame and a single flame. You can't beat the coolness of a zippo.

People on here will eventually call me a xikar whore but you cannot beat their warranty and customer service. They are now even offering some lighters in a soft flame instead of the micro torch.

As we are on the subject, Anthony, do you like your Lotus 48 and would you recommend it for someone looking for a cutter/punch and lighter in one?

I've had one on my wish list for awhile, and I've been looking for something that I can toss in my pocket when I'm on the go so I don't have to carry a cutter/punch as well. I hate a bunch of crap rattling around in my pockets. I want one tool to do it all. Would the 48 be good for that?

For this purpose, it doesn't have to be pretty, but compact, durable and reliable. A cigar lovers foot-soldier tool.

I've been very happy with my Prometheus lighters - both the Ultimo X and the Magma T (table lighter). The punch cutter on the bottom works great as well.
Stop looking at them and smoke them!!!

Do yourself a favor and go with Dupont Maxijet. They're the most consistent torches out there based upon consumer reviews and my own experience. Or go with a Xikar since you will eventually use the warranty. Torches aren't made to last. Those are the two most practical options.

Lotus is crap. Plus the customer service is almost non-existent. I would highly recommend not purchasing one unless you want a mantel piece.

If you are patient you can find them for cheaper even.
Moreover I bought mine secondhand for very very good price.

Interesting, because I haven't had a single issue with my Lotus. But yes, I agree on the XiKar comment. Have had two of them, neither has lasted very long before I needed the warranty.
