Lonely Wandering Bum
I tend to smoke maduros on the golf course as the wrappers tend to be more robust. I think cigar makers use a thicker leaf when they age/cook the maduro wrappers.
I generally pick a cigar that I know gives me a fairly good volume of smoke, but is medium/medium-full in strength. My golfing buddies tend to forget their cigars when they come to the course and without fail, bum sticks from me. For those guys, I try to remember to bring the nastiest, strongest, blow-the-back-of-your-head-off ligero (essence of ammonia preferably) to hand out to those guys that bring nothing but the habit.
You can't drink all day unless you start in the morning

I thought I was the only one to do this. Last season I caught a notorious cigar moocher off guard with a punisher, I then told him if he couldnt handle it the womens tees were right there and the rest of the foursome lost it.
Myself I prefer to start the day with a robusto of the med-full variety usually about hole 3 or 4 and finish with something full bodied for the back nine. Cant say I have a favorite though.
