You know, many a FOG has said that and it's true if you catch it in time. Doesn't seem to work for me if I've let it go too far and the pipe's almost out. I've also heard that a tamp while drawing will revive the ember but I just can't get that to work. Maybe it's my .308 Winchester tamper. Maybe ye old wooden tamper would work better for that. That and I'm probably doing it wrong.

I've done that too but I used a splash of rum. However I've found that if I over-splash and then have to let the baccy dry back out it seems to ruin the flavor.
