But luckily I am the Guarantee/Warranty Guru. Heck just last month I got Dyson to honor my warranty that was 2 years expired. It is all about being Kind, courteous, and talking to representatives like they are human beings.
I worked customer service a few years and like you said be honest and courteous and most agents will do what they can to help you. Act like a dickwad and you will get the bare minium they are required. To me customer service can make or break relationship with a company. Take care of your customers and they will be loyal.
