True Derelict
All right. Here we go.
BryGuy reviews "The Professor."
Smoked right out of the bag, in a Savinelli Roma.
The Professor is a uniformly dark and leathery-looking tobacco; on the chunky side.
The initial light is sweet and smokey. The sweetness is something I can almost feel like a texture on my tongue - a nice way to start a smoke.
Immediately after the initial light, a floral note comes through, and it is not bashful.
There is also a nice smokiness that plays a background note through the entire smoke.
The floral aspect takes on a soapy aspect, reminiscent of the Lakelands. It reminds me a little bit of the little flower soaps that people have as decorations in their bathrooms.
I tried the "freight train test." Under hard puffing, the pipe got hot, but there was no bite.
The second half of the bowl toned down the floral taste, but retained a very pleasant-smelling smoke. A slight spiciness became present on my lips, but was not unpleasant.
By the end of the bowl, everything had come together and provided a great and tasty smoke. Not my normal fare, but quite nice.
